Auto A/C Compressor
The automotive air conditioning compressor is the heart of your A/C system. The compressor's purpose is to put the gas under pressure.
A/C CONDENSER
The condenser looks more like a radiator. It is designed to radiant heat.
EVAPORATOR
The evaporator is located inside the car or truck and unlike the condenser its primary duty is to remove heat from the inside of your vehicle.
PRESSURE REGULATING DEVICES
The PRD controls refrigerant pressure and flow into the evaporator
ORIFICE TUBE
A 3" small brass tube, usualy surrounded by plastic, and covered with a filter screen at each end.
THERMAL EXPANSION VALVE
TXV - Sense's both temperature and pressure, and is extremely efficient at regulating refrigerant flow to the evaporator.
HIGH SIDE RECEIVER/DRIER
Separates the gas and liquids.
ACCUMULATOR
Connected directly to the evaporator outlet and stores excess liquid refrigerant.
